LED strip quotation brief for B2B buyers
Prepare a B2B LED strip RFQ with drawings, configuration, evidence requirements and delivery scope so supplier offers can be compared on the same basis.

A useful LED strip RFQ defines the assembly and the delivery scope. Ask suppliers to quote the same configuration and identify unresolved inputs; a price per metre without those details is difficult to compare.
Decision and input record
| Decision | What to check | Record or boundary |
|---|---|---|
| Technical identity | Drawing, configuration and evidence requirements | What is mandatory and what remains open? |
| Delivery scope | Reels, sections, modules and included accessories | What does the quoted price include? |
| Order stage | Evaluation, pilot, production or project | Which approval releases the next stage? |
Describe the customer task
Name the application, customer role and expected supply stage: evaluation sample, pilot build, repeat production or project delivery. Include a drawing when the product must fit a recess, curve or modular fixture. A small validation quantity should be described by its purpose rather than treated as a retail order. Production assumptions and sample terms still need supplier confirmation.
Write a configuration line for each requirement
Include the required source voltage, colour configuration, active or reel lengths, exposure brief and permitted controls where known. Distinguish mandatory requirements from preferences and open design items. Reference the approved drawing and sample revisions. Do not request an unsupported certificate, rendering number or maximum run merely because it appeared in a different supplier catalogue.
Make supply boundaries explicit
State whether the order is for reels, cut-and-terminated sections, harnesses or finished modules. List profiles, diffusers, drivers, controllers, mounting parts and documents as included or excluded. Ask each bidder to identify departures from the requested scope. An apparently lower quotation can simply exclude the terminations or optical components used in the approved sample.
Ask for evidence that can be checked
Request reports for the exact proposed model and configuration, with test conditions and identity. Match required documentation to the actual destination and finished-product responsibility. Separate a supplied component document from the assessment of the complete fixture. Do not label a model certified until the appropriate evidence is available and its scope is understood.
Agree commercial and approval milestones
Record quantity by variant, forecast separately from firm order quantity, required sample date, production release gate, delivery destination and requested quotation validity. Ask for supplier-confirmed minimums, lead times and change-control terms; this template does not set BEXLIGHT commercial promises. Retain the comparison against the same revision when selecting a supplier.
What to include in a technical inquiry
Send the completed requirement with quantities by variant. The inquiry should identify the company, application and current approval stage, so the discussion can focus on a workable B2B supply scope.
